The Sunny James Orangery is built with proportion and structure in mind. Evenly spaced windows create balance, while the semi-circular entrance adds distinction.

Two styles of columns shape its appearance—smooth round columns at the entrance, a nod to classical architecture, and square columns along the rest of the structure for contrast. Tall windows with fine glazing bars allow natural light to fill the space. The double doors, framed by the entrance columns, feature polished brass fittings.

Bespoke in its dimensions, the orangery shown here measures 18 metres in width and 6.20 metres in depth (excluding the entrance), with a height of 6.20 metres. The entrance spans 6 metres.

Above it all, a bronze statue of Mercury, the winged messenger, completes the structure. A museum-quality casting finished in gold leaf, it’s a quiet nod to craftsmanship.

A Space for All Seasons

Built for year-round use, the orangery remains comfortable in all weather. Underfloor heating, concealed beneath metal grilles, circulates warmth efficiently. Discreet infrared heaters provide additional heat, while a near-silent ceiling fan prevents humidity from settling. Electronically operated skylights and air vents maintain steady airflow.

Smart, Simple Climate Control

The Sunny James Orangery features an automated climate system that maintains a steady temperature whether occupied or not. Heating, infrared panels, skylights, and vents adjust as needed. Optional automated blinds or awnings provide shade when required.
